The objective of caste certificate is to offer/facilitate benefits granted by the government. The caste certificate is issued for Schedule Caste, Schedule Tribe, Backward Caste and Other Caste. It is also called as Nativity Certificate or Caste Certificate and Date of Birth Certificate.
Caste certificate is useful for securing admissions, jobs and other benefits under state/central government organizations.

What are the documents required for applying for Caste Certificate ?
- Application Form
- Caste Certificate issued to the family members
- SSC Marks Memo/ DOB Extract/ Transfer Certificate
- 1 to 10th study certificates or DOB issued by the GP/MA
- Ration card/ EPIC card/ Aadhaar card.
- Schedule I to IV
How many days does it take to get a Caste Certificate ?
It takes around 30 days to get a caste certificate.
Fee for Caste Certificate Application ?
Rs.45/- per application.
Validity of Caste Certificate ?
The caste certificate is valid for one year.
Is Caste Certificate of family members required? What if not available ?
A copy of caste certificate of family members helps the officer with application verification. If we don’t have family members certificate. We need to get one from the local society/association representing the caste.
