Mistakes to avoid in Birth Certificate
- At the time of admission into hospital, make sure to write the full name of Father and Mother in the admission form.
- Corrections in birth certificate are not easy and takes time.
- Any major change in names is not acceptable. So one has to be careful while filling the forms.
- Write your names in full (First Name and Last Name), without any spelling mistakes.
- If you have decided the child’s name then ask the hospital authorities to update the same in the birth records.
- If you have not decided on the child’s name, no worries. You can always add the child’s name later.
- If you have decided to add the child’s name within one year of birth, you only need to fill the child name inclusion form within one year along with parents aadhaar cards.
- If you have decided to add the child’s name after one year of birth, you will need a affidavit declaring the child’s name, along with applications form and parents aadhaar cards.
